Crop circles are geometric patterns created by flattening or bending crops within agricultural fields. They range from simple circular markings to highly complex designs incorporating multiple circles, rings, lines, geometric figures, and pictorial or symbolic elements. Although crop formations have been reported in different countries, the modern phenomenon is particularly associated with southern England, especially Wiltshire and neighboring counties.

Unidentified does not necessarily mean unexplained or extraterrestrial.
Origin of the Term
“Unidentified Aerial Phenomena” became widely used in U.S. government discussions during the late 2010s and early 2020s. The Department of Defense established the UAP Task Force in 2020, followed by a major ODNI UAP assessment in 2021. More recent usage increasingly uses “Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena” as a broader term.
UAP vs. UFO
UFO means Unidentified Flying Object, while UAP is the newer term commonly used in official and research contexts. Both describe observations that have not been identified and neither term establishes an extraterrestrial origin.
